Members of the Royal College of Midwives (RCM) working for Manx Care have voted overwhelmingly to accept a new three-year pay offer.

In the recent consultation, 95.24% of members who responded voted to accept the deal, which has now also been unanimously accepted by all staff side unions following discussions at the MPTC JCNC meeting on 22 May.

The agreement includes:

  • A 4.65% pay uplift for 2026/27, made up of a 1.75% increase plus the September 2025 Isle of Man Consumer Price Index (CPI) rate of 2.9%
  • A 1.5% uplift for 2027/28, plus the Isle of Man CPI rate from September 2026
  • A 1.25% uplift for 2028/29, plus the Isle of Man CPI rate from September 2027

Manx Care has confirmed that the 2026/27 uplift and back pay will be paid in the June 2026 payroll. Pay uplifts for 2027/28 and 2028/29 will be implemented in April of each year.

Dr Dale Spence, Director for Northern Ireland at the RCM, said: “We would like to thank all members who took the time to respond to the consultation and have their voices heard throughout the process.”
