Senior Midwifery Information Officer (SMidIO)

Cheri Lewis is the Senior Midwifery Information Officer at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, supporting digital transformation in maternity services across Wales. She developed the Maternity Databank in Wales, embedding digital inclusion screening into the maternity referral pathway and creating an implementation blueprint to support wider adoption. Her work has generated Wales’ first dataset on digital exclusion in maternity care. Cheri also contributes to the implementation of a single digital maternity record for Wales and promotes equitable digital access. Her work in digital midwifery has been acknowledged nationally for its focus on innovation and inclusion.
