The Royal College of Midwives is at the heart of the midwifery community, run by midwives and maternity support workers for midwives and maternity support workers. As both a professional association and a trade union, we are here to support you throughout your professional life. We have branches in most Trusts and Board in the UK and in the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands and we work with midwifery societies in our universities too. Our members have exclusive access to great career development opportunities, excellent conferences and events, many of which are free, and support in the workplace. We also work with governments across the UK to influence pay, terms and conditions and the way maternity care is staffed and delivered.
