4Louis is a UK charity that works across the country to support anyone affected by miscarriage, stillbirth and the death of a baby or child. We work to improve care bereaved families receive from healthcare and other professionals. We provide memory boxes and mementos to help families create lasting memories of their loved one. We provide useful tools, equipment, and training free of charge to hospital units and other professionals who work with grieving families. We understand that every family’s journey is unique, and we strive to improve the services given to families who have lost a baby or child.

Amma Birth Companions is a unique Glasgow charity that provides vital services to ensure women and birthing people from migrant backgrounds and other underserved groups are supported during pregnancy, childbirth, and early parenthood. The support we provide is continuous, holistic and non-judgmental and is delivered through a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approach.

Since our inception in May 2019, we have provided companionship and helped to cultivate community for more than 1,000 families.

Our strategic aims are to:

• Support self-agency during pregnancy and early parenthood.
• Reduce isolation and build community.
• Influence and address maternal health disparities locally and nationally.

Our services include pregnancy, birth and postnatal companionship, peer support activities, antenatal education and peer-led infant feeding support. Through research and advocacy, we also tackle structural and health inequalities, informed by the lived experiences of the individuals we support.

We also offer training, consultancy and collaboration with a range of public and third sector organisations with the aim of improving maternal health and birth outcomes for people facing systemic and structural inequalities.

BBC CBeebies Parenting is a website and service from BBC Children’s & Education, that provides evidence-based techniques, fun activities, tips and advice and child development content. We help empower parents / carergivers to support their child’s development, from bonding and attachment, to early speech, language and communication skills of their 0–4-year-olds in the home learning environment.

Our TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp channels help to maintain a close connection with our audience. It’s fun, supportive and provides daily comfort and gentle reminders to parents to keep supporting their little ones’ learning.

We have a dedicated section on the website for pre-natal and post-natal content by trimesters to share with families you work with. From packing a hospital bag, to establishing that all important skin to skin contact, we’ve got support every step of the way.

Rooted in academic research, BBC CBeebies Parenting has a positive, supportive speech and language message for families at its core; “talk to your little one from pregnancy – we’re here to show you how, and why it’s so important”.

Down’s Syndrome Scotland is the only national charity in Scotland dedicated solely to supporting individuals with Down’s syndrome and their families. Established in 1982, the member-led organisation provides “all-through-life” support, operating under the core belief that every person with Down’s syndrome is a unique individual with immense potential.

Held in Our Hearts is a Scottish charity providing compassionate support to those who have experienced pregnancy, baby or infant loss. Through our Hospital to Home opt-out service, we offer early intervention and home visits for newly bereaved families across rural and urban Scotland. Alongside this early support, we provide longer-term support through our peer support service and specialist counselling service, ensuring families can access help for as long as they need it. We work closely with the NHS, health professionals and the Scottish Government so that no one is alone after loss. We recognise that when a baby dies, care is often focused on the immediate aftermath and can be hospital-based and time-limited. Grief, however, does not end when a family leaves hospital. By intervening early, we help improve long-term emotional wellbeing, reduce isolation and support families to navigate life after loss. Founded in 2024 by AuDHD doula and author Victoria White, the organisation delivers CPD accredited professional training to NHS Trusts and birth organisations, online antenatal education for neurodivergent parents, and a Doula Access Fund providing free doula support to those who need it most.

We provide evidence based information and work within the scope of WHO and Code of Milk Marketing.

In addition to face-to-face support, we work with the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers to provide The National Breastfeeding Helpline, which is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year, offering non-judgemental, evidence based, caller centred, independent, friendly breastfeeding support and information to anyone in the UK who needs it. The Lullaby Trust is a charity that exists to keep babies safe and keep grieving families supported.  We give families a safer start to life, and create a supportive space for anyone whose baby or infant has died suddenly or unexpectedly.  We do this by:

• Empowering parents, carers and professionals with trusted advice on baby safety, including safer sleep and infection prevention.
• Funding research into sudden and unexpected death of babies and young children, to save lives.
• Offering anyone affected by the sudden or unexpected death of a baby or young child a supportive space to grieve, with bereavement support.

Ten babies die suddenly and unexpectedly each week in England and Wales.  We won’t stop until that number is zero.  Our mission is to stop babies dying unexpectedly from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), accident or illness.

Each year, we train thousands of health professionals to support parents in sleeping their baby safely.  We support around 1,000 families with our bereavement support.  We reach millions of families with our baby safety advice, and answer thousands of safer sleep questions from parents and carers.  We campaign tirelessly to save lives.
