Eidos: Aspiring Band 7 leadership development programme

Leading with compassion, courage and commitment

The Eidos programme is a tailored leadership development opportunity for senior or experienced Band 6 midwives who are ready to take the next step in their leadership journey. Whether aiming for a Band 7 role or seeking to grow within their current position, participants will gain the insight, confidence and strategies to lead effectively.

Participants in the Eidos programme will benefit from a rich and supportive learning experience designed to elevate their leadership potential.

Delegates will:

  • Develop personal leadership skills and gain insight into their workplace behaviours, understanding their influence and impact on teams and maternity service culture.
  • Lead with confidence, compassion and courage, using tailored strategies to enhance their leadership capabilities in their specific maternity context.
  • Support clinical managers more effectively through collaborative leadership, improved communication, and a deeper understanding of team dynamics and priorities.
  • Increase personal effectiveness and maximise their impact within their area of work.
  • Build a strong professional network, engaging in shared learning and peer support throughout the programme.

This programme empowers midwives to lead with authenticity and impact, meeting both individual aspirations and service-level needs.
