An essential introductory course for all new or less experienced stewards. The course will have pre course work to be completed prior to the first day. This is a three day training course over a period of three weeks with pre-course work.

The course dates are: 2, 9 & 16 November and you must attend all sessions to complete the course.

The course includes:

• the role and legal rights of a RCM steward
• how to access support and information
• a general overview of employment relations in the NHS
• dealing with members’ problems at work
• negotiating on behalf of members
