Overview

Sally Bunkham, Director of Communications & Development at The PANDAS Foundation will talk about her own personal experience of poor perinatal mental health following the birth of her 2 babies, especially about the unexpected symptoms she wasn’t expecting.

Sally will also talk about the work of PANDAS, the UK’s leading perinatal mental health charity; what they do, who they support, and how they can help.

Speaker

Sally is a mum of 2 girls who were born just 1 year (and 12 days!) apart. Going on maternity leave when she was on maternity leave brought its own challenges!

Sally has lived experience of perinatal mental illness and enjoys raising awareness on issues relating to it now, which is the reason she changed her career in in order to work for PANDAS.

Sally joined the team in 2021 and began her journey managing the charity’s social media channels. Her role grew & she’s loved maintaining & growing relationships with existing and new people and organisations who have the same mission and values as PANDAS. The charity has grown in every way since 2021 and Sally is now a Director for the charity, working closely with the CEO to help more than 10,000 parents and carers every year with their mental health.

She lives by the sea In Brighton and adores a cold water sea swim all year round!
