This module is primarily intended for maternity support workers working at Level 4 (first stage of higher education study) but will also be of interest to other MSWs and student midwives. The module is designed to help maternity support workers develop an understanding of thermoregulation of the newborn. It aims to help your clinical practice by underpinning it with a theoretical āevidence-basedā framework.Ā It covers:

- Methods of providing thermal stability
- The MSW’s role
- The warm chain
- How to take a temperature
