Health and safety – A guide for safety representatives is an online version of the RCM’s face-to-face course for safety representatives.

It is aimed at new RCM health and safety representatives who want to gain an overview before attending the face-to-face course. It is also suitable for established health and safety reps who may want to revise or update their knowledge. It will also be of help to those who might be interested in becoming a health and safety representative.

Safety representative who work through the whole of this course will have gained a good understanding of their role, rights and functions. They will also have a grounding in the health and safety legal framework, the duties of employers as well as the duties of others with respect to health and safety, workplace inspections, accident investigation and safety committees.
