The 6Cs was a 3 year initiative which has moved into the next phase – however, the principles behind the initiative are still key aspects of care. Compassion in Practice is the new three year vision and strategy for nursing, midwifery and care staff drawn up by the NHS Commissioning Board and  the Department of Health.

This short professional update introduces Compassion in Practice and provides an overview of the 6Cs.
