Welcome to the new MIDIRS website!
Back in 1994, MIDIRS and the NHS Centre for Reviews and Dissemination (NHS CRD) were commissioned to develop a series of Informed choice leaflets for service users and service providers. This followed findings from a government policy document for England (Department of Health 1993) emphasising the need for women to be provided with information to enable them to make informed choices about their care. The leaflets summarised research evidence for 10 topics on which decisions during pregnancy are made.
