About me
My name is Ella Barclay (BA, MSc) and I am a student at the University of West of England (UWE) working towards my PhD in Sociology.
This research constitutes the data for my MRes thesis, and feeds into my broader research topic of the importance and inaccessibility of sexual and reproductive rights for undocumented migrants in the UK.
Overview
This study is concerned with the attitudes of midwives towards the use of NHS maternity care by international migrants and the current policies concerning charging and sharing the data of non-citizens.
Contributing to study
If you choose to take part, you will be asked to complete a short, online activity (approx. 20 minutes) asking you to sort a range of statements onto a grid of ‘most agree’ to ‘most disagree’. You will then be asked a few questions in a survey about your views on the statements and your responses to them.
All responses will be anonymous.
Eligibility
- Work (or have worked) within the NHS, including midwives
- Have experience providing maternity care/support to patients
- Be able to access the internet via a computer
More information about the study and how to take part can be found here.
If you have any questions about the study or are interested in taking part, please email me at: ella2.barclay@live.uwe.ac.uk. The deadline for participants is Monday 11 July 2022.
