Michelle Brumby
Information Librarian
Michelle’s responsibilities include helping to maintain the Maternity and Infant Care database, performing literature searches and supporting the editorial team by reference-checking and producing the cumulative index for MIDIRS Midwifery Digest.
Louise Deighton-O'Hara
LIS Team Leader
Louise manages the library and information services team within MIDIRS, overseeing the maintenance of the Maternity and Infant Care database. She joined the team in September 2017.
Caroline Hibbert
Digital Content and Marketing Officer
Caroline manages MIDIRS website and social media pages. She also leads on marketing of products and services, and supports the running of MIDIRS journal clubs. Caroline joined the team in May 2025.
Stephanie Hoyet
Information Librarian
Stephanie joined MIDIRS as an Information Librarian in September 2025. She helps to maintain the Maternity and Infant Care database.
Clarisse Lima
MIDIRS and LIS Administrator
Clarisse joined MIDIRS as an administrator in April 2025. She handles all of our customer service queries and subscription issues: if you have ever used our messaging system, it is likely you have spoken to her! Clarisse is also responsible for getting MIDIRS Midwifery Digest posted out to subscribers and arranging merchandise at events.
Jackie Mitchell
Information Librarian
Jackie has been a member of MIDIRS Library and Information Team for 23 years. Her responsibilities include helping to maintain the Maternity and Infant Care database, producing and updating Search Packs, and performing literature searches.
Kim Renfrew
Assistant Editor, MIDIRS Midwifery Digest
Kim joined MIDIRS as Copy Editor in May 2023. She assists Sara Webb in producing the Digest each quarter, and is responsible for hands-on editing of submissions and the daily tasks of producing a journal. She has a background in editing and writing, in the UK and abroad.
Anastasia Spiliopoulou
Information Librarian
Anastasia has been working at MIDIRS since August 2022. She helps to maintain the Maternity and Infant Care database and produces the Latest Research Update that goes out to MIDIRS subscribers each week.
Dr Sara Webb FRCM
Head of Midwifery Information and Research Services at the RCM
Dr Sara Webb is the lead for the RCM’s Research strategy and is committed to developing and promoting clinical academic roles for midwives and other allied health professionals. Sara is responsible for editing MIDIRS Midwifery Digest and ensuring that MIDIRS provides midwives and maternity health workers with evidence-based knowledge. She became a registered midwife in 2000 and has been MIDIRS editor for five years.
