Overview

The Open University is hosting a forum theatre event for health and allied professionals as well as bereavement practitioners to explore ways to support fathers following perinatal loss.

The forum theatre is specifically tailored to explore an experience in a clinical setting or related professional setting in the form of a play. The forum theatre is part of a study conducted by The Open University in which fathersā€™ experiences of support and care following baby loss were previously explored.

There is no charge to register for the event. Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the afternoon. The forum theatre will be facilitated by trained actors and the research team led by Dr Kerry Jones at the Open University. There are a limited number of travel bursaries for those who are on low income or are volunteers. For more information about what is involved please read the information sheet and consent form.

If you need any further information or would like to talk to someone before you decide whether or not to take part, you can contact Dr Kerry Jones who is leading this study by telephoning this number: 01908 652869 or by contacting Kerry via the following email: kerry.jones@open.ac.uk
