Overview

This webinar chaired by members of the Student Midwife Forum, designed to explore the critical importance of ensuring equitable, accessible and supportive maternity care for individuals with disabilities. This session will delve into the unique challenges faced by disabled individuals, with a focus on fostering confidence among people in discussing and effectively managing disabilities within their workplace or career environments.Ā  Cath Riley if the founder of ‘Make Disability Inclusive‘ which aims to provide first-hand perspectives of how a hidden disability can manifest and impact daily life. Through this initiative, she hopes to promote empathy, inclusivity and practical solutions for accommodating diverse needs in professional settings.

Attendees will gain practical strategies to improve maternity care services and ensure that all women and birthing people, regardless of disability, have the opportunity for a safe and empowering childbirth experience.
