Overview

The RCM is delighted to host this webinar with the European Space Agency as part of itā€™s leadership webinar series. What can we learn about teamwork, safety and collaboration.

In this webinar you will hear about global teamwork (and shift work) in mission control, European Astronaut Centre operations, continuity of care for astronauts over a long-duration mission spanning years of preparation, on-orbit spaceflight plus post-flight recovery. Andrea will talk about parallels in a similarly busy, high pressure and safety focussed medical ward, both with 24/7 continuous, dynamic operations. Uniquely, both of Andreaā€™s parents were registered nurses, midwives and IBCLCs.

Please note that this webinar will not be recorded and is only open to RCM members.

Andreaā€™s projects together with the ISS have included spacefood, augmented reality, retinal diagnostics, NEEMO underwater astronaut missions in and supporting crew launches and landings from both Baikonur Cosmodrome and Cape Canaveral.
