The RCM was thrilled to to host a webinar withĀ Dr. JD Polk, Chief Health and Medical Officer of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)Ā located at NASA Headquarters in Washington D.C. NASA is known for its commitment to innovation and fostering teamwork that enables them to tackle complex challenges. In space missions, there is no margin for error and meticulous planning and execution are vital for success and crew well-being.

How does this relate to maternity services?

Safety and quality are of utmost importance for maternity services, while the contexts are vastly different, this exciting webinar explored what we can learn from NASA and how the principles and practices can be adapted to support innovation andĀ leadershipĀ in maternity services.

How can we reach new heights in maternity care by taking inspiration from the boundless spirit of exploration that has propelled humans beyond the stars? This webinar was an opportunity to gain fresh perspectives on innovative leadership.
