Pay in Northern Ireland

Following the return of the Executive to Stormont, a new pay offer for 2023/24 was made to HSC staff, including midwives and MSWs. Following a consultation of members, that offer has been accepted.

The offer includes:

  • A 5% pay uplift, back dated to April 2023 and to include bank staff 
    • A flat, non-consolidated pro rata payment of ÂŁ1,505
  • A 5.2% increase for the on-call allowance rate
